Sikkim and Meghalaya are both easily accessible by air, train, and road. The nearest airport to Sikkim is Bagdogra Airport in West Bengal, which is approximately 124 km away. From there, travelers can take a taxi or bus to reach Sikkim. Meghalaya has its own airport, the Shillong Airport, which is well connected to major cities in India. Both states are also connected by train, with the nearest railway station in New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal for Sikkim and Guwahati in Assam for Meghalaya. There are also regular bus services from nearby cities to both states.

Time of travel

The best time to visit Sikkim is between March and June and from September to December, while the best time to visit Meghalaya is from October to June.
